Key West has it all. On our roughly 3-mile-by-1-mile island you can have a relaxing tropical
getaway sitting by the pool replenishing your depleted energy stores, or have an
active vacation full of interesting things to see and do. You can spend long summery days
soaking in the sun on the beach, and long nights soaking up tropical concotions.
Most people know that Key West has a reputation for being a "fun" town with lots of things to
do and see... but did you know that you can have a quiet vacation here as well?
That's right... most of Key West is a quiet sub-tropical island that is not next door to Sloppy Joe's Bar.
So if you want a quiet vacation, you've found it!
However, if you do get a little restless after sunning by the pool or beach, we have a veritable
smorgasbord of things to do. You will find a variety of museums, art galleries, historical
houses, interesting architecture, famous writers' homes, a wacky cemetery, sunken treasure museums and stores,
great cigars and cigar bars, world class restaurants, open air cafes, funky bars, live music,
great shopping, the beaches and the world famous nightly Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square.
Of course, we are an island surrounded by beautiful crystal clear water.
There's a whole week full of things to do just on the water alone! You can fill your days
with fishing and diving and then cap it all off with a Sunset Sail. The Florida Keys Beaches,
while not likely to remind you of Hawaii or California, will still take care of the beach-goer
in you.
Make sure to plan an excursion to the coral reef for Snorkeling at the only live coral reef in
the northern hemisphere, and then top it off with a wild Dolphin encounter.
Of course, you can choose to ignore all of the activities and continue your siesta by the pool!

Keep in mind that there's something for every taste and budget in Key West, so plan to stay at least a week, and then dive right in and enjoy our unique island!
